The Catalyst website was launched as part to help match up academic and non-academic partners.

Search for like-minded people

People could use the Catalyst website to either upload their own project idea or search for other projects using by keyword, organisation or theme to find a potential partner. 

They could search for projects that needed either: an academic partner, a third-sector partner, an industry expert or a public sector member.  

After searching the website, they were encouraged to get in touch with those with similar ideas and see if see if their potential partner had signed up to one of the day-long sandpits in London and Newcastle. 

There were two Catalyst websites built for each Call for Collaborations. The 2019 Catalyst and the 2020 Catalyst.
